“ A lovely cafe right in the heart of Wellington and it’s often packed during the morning tea session or lunch. They serve a wide variety of handmade baked goods and also have an ala carte menu to fill you up. Coffee is fantastic and service is top notch! Jeff is super friendly and always remembers our order and available for a quick chat. Planning to organise a work lunch in the near future so will be adding more food pics :) ”

“ BEST BREAKFAST EVER! my mom and i ate here twice during our 3 day holiday in Wellington-it was that delicious. located close to the waterfront + train station, this is a cannot miss spot. The food itself has a fun, unique creative take on classics: I got the croffle benedict and the spring croffle; mom got the mushy mushy toast each time and devoured it. And the presentation of each dish is perfection. Coffee is amazing and service is great. They have takeaways options too. Cannot wait to come back to Wellington just to eat here again! I can’t recommend this place enough!! ”

“ I’d highly recommend this place for brunch if you’re in the Wellington CBD area. The food is finely prepared, beautifully presented, and very tasty. The staff are friendly and attentive, often checking in to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. I especially recommend trying the eggs benedict or the French toast churros — both were delicious! Pair them with a flat white or a lavender latte for the perfect start to your day. A great spot for a relaxed and satisfying brunch experience in the city. ”

“ Absolutely amazing cafe. Staff were brilliant, the guy was very helpful (thank you mate) with getting a table. Food 100%. Everything in the display looked great. Menu has heaps of options. Chai latte was outstanding also. Loads and loads of options. Recommend this little hidden gem. ”

“ Overall - good. Coffee definitely wasn’t the best I’ve had, but wasn’t bad either. The food was good, but just didn’t seem to wow me for some reason. I had the eggs bene with bacon on the Croffle. The beetroot hollandaise sauce was a nice touch. Overall I can’t say anything was bad at all, generally just good all round ”

“ Very good cafe with a nice menu and an amazing presentation of the plates. The food is really good, even if it can be a bit more flavoursome. I had the spring croffle, which was good. But there was a lack of seasoning and a bit more cream cheese would be great Really good coffee! ”

“ I have been a regular to Gemini and it is one of my favorite café to catch up with friends for lunch since Sept 2024. Their lunch menu is great with lots of options, and always well presented on the plate. The eggs Benedict on milky toast and salmon is my go to and the Gemini blue butterfly mocktail, if I already had too much coffee. They have always been friendly and very attentive to me and my friends at every visits. Counter food available, some creamy and nice sweets and "viennoiseries", highly recommend them. ”

“ Many people on Reddit said that this is one of the best cafes in Wellington, so we decided to check it out. I can definitely tell you that they serve amazing meals, desserts, and coffees at the Gemini cafe!! I loved every bite of my food and my coffee was very nice too. If you are after a very good, delicious, satiating breakfast that won't cost you an arm and a leg, then that is your place. They have all of the standard "improved" breakfast options and some special dishes, desserts, and beverages that you won't find in other cafes. Staff is amazing, very nice and friendly. The only downside is the interior design, as it can become quite noisy due to the lack of acoustic dampening. So I wouldn't have a romantic brunch date there. ”
